We have an exciting new position available for an experienced Holistic Practitioner at a luxury 5 star spa in the Cape Winelands.

Duties & Responsibilities

Delivering variety of Holistic Spa therapies and procedures to a high quality and standard
Display deep knowledge and understanding of nutrition, exercise, mind-body connection, wellness, yoga, meditation
Plan and deliver a variety of Holistic Spa services, including Yoga and Meditation sessions, basic body massages and any other Holistic services offered professionally and in a safe and comfortable manner as per Spa Protocols
Assist with personal development and life-coaching for guests advantageous
Display knowledge on performing Guest retreats and workshops
Design and execute all wellness activities, retreats and events in an organized and professional manner along with Spa Manager
Design wellness retreats including all activities, treatments and take ownership of managing events along with Spa Manager
Deliver motivational talks and holistic/wellness activities
Assist Spa Manager to promote wellness programs through local market and build strong wellness and holistic database as needed
Ensure 5-star guest interaction and satisfaction, consistently to ensure service promise is fulfilled
Perform opening and closing procedures of the Spa as laid out in Spa Operating Procedures as needed
Always act as a Guest Liaison and manage all guest enquiries and bookings in assistance with Spa Manager and assistant Spa Manager .
Support Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager to complete all end of day Revenue reports, recording all guest invoices, treatments, revenue generating sales in an accurate and correct manner
Ensure that all room charges are correctly and promptly charged with guest signature as acknowledgement
Assist Spa Manager with month end report submission, Monthly Stock take reports, Onboarding of new staff members if and where needed
Capture daily data and capacity of Spa guests and visits and hotel occupancies to maximize business opportunities as needed
Provide direction, oversight, and guidance to the Spa team members
Assist Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager with efficient training of the Spa Team in all aspects of job tasks, procedures, products, and equipment as required by Management
Well versed in all aspects of the Spa's operations, i.e. business telephone, Guest relations, retail sales, spa services
Identify and capitalise on opportunities to up & Cross-sell products, services, and packages available to improve guest experiences
Identify and capitalise on revenue opportunities to support Financial targets and KPI’s
Work with Spa Manager and full team members to ensure Spa Par stock are in good condition, clean and at sufficient levels.
Maintain a neat, clean, and hygienic working environment
Support management of the Spa Reception alongside the Spa manager and Assistant Spa Manager as required (answering the phone, cash up’s, scheduling of appointments) and general housekeeping duties along.
Adhere to department specific Grooming Standards laid out in company guidelines
Conduct Spa Tours to guests and answer questions confidently and knowledgeable as required
Ensure clear and respectful communication between all spa team members and other departments as required
When doing classes or services, be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments after completing each service and shift
Ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness).
Ensure Guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the spa's first priority.
Serve as a link between the hotel and the spa department and ensure effective communications between both parties
Assist Spa Manager in the implementation of 12-month marketing and promotional activity plan.
Identify new business and marketing opportunities.
Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions and sales techniques.
Assist Spa Manager with and ensure that departmental communication meetings are effective.
Facility walk-through to have visual presence within department for all spa staff.
Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Spa Management

Requirements

Display deep knowledge and understanding of nutrition, exercise, mind-body connection, wellness, yoga, meditation
Deliver a variety of Holistic Spa services, including Yoga and Meditation sessions, basic body massages and any other Holistic services, inclusive of Ayurvedic treatments advantageous, professionally and in a safe and comfortable manner as per Spa Protocols
Assist with personal development and life-coaching for guests advantageous
Design and execute all wellness activities, retreats and events in an organized and professional manner along with Spa Manager
Design wellness retreats including all activities, treatments and take ownership of managing events along with Spa Manager
Deliver motivational talks and holistic/wellness activities
Deliver variety of Spa services and procedures to a high quality and standard

Additional Holistic Knowledge (Advantageous but not essential)

Understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles is an advantage
Pilates-based movement or mindful body conditioning experience is an advantage
Experience in guided movement practices such as gentle aerobics or wellness flow sessions is an advantage
Ability to facilitate intuitive or reflective wellness practices (e.g. tarot or symbolic guidance) is an advantage
Training or experience in energy healing modalities such as Reiki or crystal healing is an advantage
Sound healing facilitation (singing bowls, vibrational therapy, frequency work) is an advantage
Knowledge of somatic awareness, embodiment practices, or trauma informed movement is an advantage
Experience in nature based wellness practices such as forest bathing or mindfulness-in-nature sessions is an advantage
