Full Stack Developer (Mid-Level | Hybrid/Remote – Cape Town)

We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced, product-driven engineering environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys building scalable systems, working across mobile and web, and solving real-world technical challenges in a multi-tenant platform environment.

Develop and roll out mobile features end-to-end using React Native and modern component libraries (e.g. Gluestack)

Build and maintain web applications using React, Node.js, Express, and internal frameworks

Work on payments and billing functionality (wallets, card-on-file, refunds, validations, and edge cases)

Integrate and interpret LPR/event-driven data flows within the platform

Maintain documentation and reduce technical debt across the platform

3+ years’ software development experience

Strong experience with React Native (mobile development exposure essential)

Solid backend experience using Node.js and Express

Experience with MongoDB (Mongoose) and familiarity with Postgres

Experience building and consuming REST APIs

Exposure to queue systems (e.g. Bull/BullMQ) and event-driven architecture (advantageous)

Understanding of payments systems (billing logic, wallets, payment gateways, etc.)

Experience in multi-tenant SaaS or complex platform environments (advantageous)

Familiarity with app store deployment processes (iOS/Android)

AI-native mindset with experience using AI tools in development workflows
