Safety Co - Ordinator - Manufacturing Industry

A well established manufacturing company based in Bedfordview is seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Safety Co-Ordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Safety and Quality Management Systems (IMS) remain operational, controlled, and aligned with legislative, ISO, and company requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong SHE compliance experience within a manufacturing environment, coupled with excellent communication, reporting, and project management abilities.

• Ensure IMS (Safety and Quality Management Systems) is operational, controlled, and continuously updated

• Maintain compliance with SHE legislation, ISO standards, and company policies

• Conduct safety audits and inspections across operations

• Perform risk assessments and implement corrective actions

• Compile detailed reports and correspondence for Senior Management and regulatory authorities

• Enforce SHE compliance at all organisational levels

• Promote a strong safety culture, teamwork, and accountability

• Act as project support for engineering control implementations aligned to OSH Act and Mines Act requirements where applicable

• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented

• Support ongoing safety training and awareness initiatives

• Grade 12

• Post Matric qualification in Safety, Health and Environment

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment

• Manufacturing and construction industry experience advantageous

• Strong understanding of SHE legislation and ISO standards

• Excellent report writing and communication skills

• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities

• Fluent in English

• Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence

• Salary: R40,000.00 per month
