SUMMARY

A well-established organisation in the industrial sector is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing high volumes of transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control.

POSITION INFO

The successful candidate will be responsible for full financial accounting and reporting, including month-end and year-end processes, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. You will prepare management accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and support budgeting and audit processes. The role also involves managing fixed assets, stock reconciliations, and overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, including cash flow reporting and foreign payments. In addition, you will ensure statutory compliance across VAT, PAYE, and income tax, while identifying risks and strengthening internal controls. This position requires close collaboration with operations and other business units, providing financial insight and support where needed. Skills & Experience: Strong financial accounting and reporting experience Advanced Excel and accounting systems proficiency Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage high volumes of transactions under pressure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and stakeholder engagement Minimum 5 years' experience as an Accountant Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Pastel or similar) Solid understanding of tax, compliance, and financial controls Qualification: BCom Accounting (Honours advantageous) Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
