SUMMARY

Our client, a well-established coffee shop and café in Pretoria, is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Barista / Chef to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and café-style meals while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining food safety standards.

POSITION INFO

Description: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees and teas. Operate and maintain coffee machines and related equipment. Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation. Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and related supplies. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the coffee preparation area. Prepare breakfast, lunch, and light meal menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control. Assist with menu preparation and daily specials. Monitor food stock and assist with ordering requirements. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista and/or Chef in a café, restaurant, or coffee shop environment. Experience operating commercial coffee machines. Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations. Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Excellent customer service skills.
