Our client, a highly regarded player in the wealth planning space, is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team. This role sits within a sophisticated Wealth Planning division and focuses on delivering expert-level estate and fiduciary advisory services to high-net-worth clients. In this role, you'll be the go-to authority on complex estate structures, trusts, and tax-efficient planning strategies. You will lead from the front, guiding Financial Planners, influencing client strategy, and ensuring that every recommendation is not only compliant but also clever. If you enjoy combining technical excellence with real client impact and can explain estate duty without putting people to sleep you'll fit right in. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of advanced estate planning strategies, including trust structures and tax-efficient solutions. Provide expert advice on estate duty, CGT, income tax, and fiduciary implications. Review and sign off on complex estate and risk analyses prepared by Financial Planners. Act as the subject matter expert across estate and fiduciary planning. Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Estate Duty Act, Income Tax Act, and Trust Property Control Act. Collaborate with Wealth Planners, Advisors, legal, tax, and fiduciary specialists on complex client cases. Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to Financial Planners. Oversee estate planning reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and top-tier quality. Monitor legislative changes and adjust strategies accordingly. Job Experience and Skills Required: Relevant degree (BCom, Finance, Accounting, or LLB). Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. CFP designation (non-negotiable). Advanced Diploma in Estate Planning. Minimum 10 years' experience in estate planning, with exposure to complex trust structures. Strong knowledge of estate planning, fiduciary law, and tax legislation. Exceptional analytical thinking and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, able to simplify the complex.
