SUMMARY
A leading, well-established industrial chemical manufacturing group requires the above to be responsible for leading and executing the regional commercial growth strategy across the SADC market, with full accountability for export sales, managing and supporting Distributors’ performance, market expansion, strategic customer and distributor management, and sustainable profitability.

Minimum requirements for the role: A Chemical or related degree or diploma is preferred; a business Diploma would be an advantage. Previous sales experience working within the chemical manufacturing environment is essential. Previous experience managing customers or distributors in Africa, including supply chain management and logistics, is essential for the role. The successful candidate should have proven experience in strategic business development and high-level negotiations. Drive revenue growth and gross profit performance through strategic customer, distributor, and partnership development as well as developing and implementing market expansion strategies across the SADC region. Sound understanding of chemical handling, logistics, and regulatory requirements within the African markets is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading and executing the regional commercial growth strategy across the SADC market, with full accountability for export sales, managing and supporting Distributors' performance, market expansion, strategic customer and distributor management, and sustainable profitability. Managing and working closely with Distributors to identify and develop new business opportunities, strengthening market presence, and driving revenue, volume, market share, and profit growth across the region. Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, commercial, logistics, and governance requirements across all export markets while positioning the organisation as a preferred supplier within the SADC region. Assuming overall accountability for the management and growth of the SADC export sales channel by driving and supporting distributor networks and strategic partner relationships. Leading and directing export sales activities to ensure effective execution across all channels, including alignment with logistics, supply chain, customer service, and other supporting functions. Developing and implementing strategic market expansion plans for the SADC region through the identification of new market opportunities, untapped territories, and innovative partnership models. Driving sustainable revenue, volume, market share, and profitability growth through effective commercial strategies, customer engagement, and distributor performance management. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
