Job & Company Description: A respected, market-leading organisation in the retail and manufacturing sectors is seeking a Financial Supervisor/Senior Accountant to join its finance team based in Johannesburg East. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys a hands-on environment and is looking to develop their leadership and technical accounting capabilities further. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting business performance through sound financial management. This role offers excellent exposure to both operational and strategic finance within a dynamic and growing environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial controls Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports Manage month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Supervise and support junior finance team members Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Liaise with auditors and support annual audit processes Drive process improvements and enhance financial efficiencies across the business Support business decision-making through financial analysis and reporting Job Experience & Qualifications: BCom degree essential Completed SAICA articles essential Minimum 2 years post-articles experience Experience within retail and manufacturing environments essential Strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Take the next step in your finance career within a well-established organisation that offers stability, growth, and exposure to a diverse operational environment.
