POSITION INFO

Senior Data Analysts Consultant Role Description The role requires a Senior Data Analyst with extensive knowledge of Excel Visual Basic for Application (Excel VBA) to support the National Treasury and mSCOA reporting submissions of the City's (Municipality and its Municipality Owned Entities) monthly and yearly data strings. The role involves raw data validation and automation in Excel using VB code to prepare data strings for SAP Budget data uploads and generating/ validating the mSCOA reporting schedules of the City to National Treasury. As part of the requirement, the suitable candidate should also have solid understanding of SAP BPC and its modules in line with the mSCOA reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare Municipality Budget upload strings for SAP BW / National Treasury. Validate all the BW accounting reports A/B/C and F Schedules. Validate all the monthly City and MoE's TB (Trail Balance) submissions in Excel before uploading them in SAP. BPC - Programming in Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) that interface with SAP EPM Business Objects. Providing business rules, data validation, data integrity and user formatting. I also had to maintain and improve several reports in BPC. Essential Qualifications & Experience Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Expert Sap BPC, specializing in Visual Basic for Applications for BPC. System Design / Analyst Microsoft Office Databases (Design and DBA work) Visual Studio Web Design (ASP, ASPX, HTML, XML, XSL) Java (NetBeans and IDE) Core Competencies mSCOA Budget string support. Programming: Excel Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications BPC Visual Studio (C#) Java (NetBeans and IDE) Databases (Design and DBA work): MySQL Server Microsoft SQL Server Oracle Java Script Attributes Attention to detail.
