A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join their team. The successful candidate will play a strategic and operational HR role, partnering closely with leadership to drive people initiatives, organisational effectiveness, compliance, employee engagement, and HR best practices across the business.

This role is best suited to a strong HR professional who has experience operating within a large, fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Partner with leadership on strategic HR initiatives and workforce planning
  • Drive employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes
  • Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with all labour legislation and HR policies
  • Support organisational change management and culture initiatives
  • Oversee HR reporting, analytics, and people metrics
  • Partner with payroll and finance to ensure accurate HR and payroll processes
  • Drive training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Manage and improve HR policies, systems, and procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Human Sciences or related qualification is essential
  • Honours Degree will be advantageous
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR management or HRBP capacity
  • Must come from a large pharmaceutical manufacturing company
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, BCEA, LRA, EEA, Skills Development and HR compliance
  • Proven experience in employee relations, disciplinary processes, performance management, and organisational development
  • Experience working with payroll and HR systems
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated and deadline-driven environment
