Senior Tool Maker

A leading plastic manufacturing company in the Western Cape is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool Maker to join their technical team. This role is responsible for the manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and optimisation of precision tooling used in high-volume plastic production processes.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring production efficiency, minimising downtime, and maintaining high product quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal applicant will have strong technical expertise in plastic mould tooling, fault finding, and toolroom operations, with experience in injection moulding or related plastic manufacturing processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on artisan who is passionate about precision engineering, continuous improvement, and supporting world-class manufacturing operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Trade Test Tool, Jig and Die Maker
• N2 in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years’ experience as a qualified Tool Maker (POST APPRENTICESHIP)
• Experience within the Manufacturing industry is a MUST
• Candidates must also be residing within the Western Cape
