What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll provide operational support within a busy machine shop environment, focusing on maintenance schedules, routine servicing and ensuring equipment reliability. Your day will involve fault finding, machine inspections, repairs and assisting with workshop-related tasks while contributing to planned maintenance activities. You’ll also support breakdown resolution and help maintain engineering standards across the operation. You’ll enjoy this role because your expertise will directly contribute to keeping production running efficiently while working in an environment where technical skill is genuinely valued.

What you’ll need
You’ll need to be a qualified artisan with at least 3 years’ machine shop experience. You have cylindrical grinding, form grinding and surface grinding experience. Strong fault-finding ability, machine maintenance knowledge and a good understanding of engineering principles are essential. Experience with planned maintenance systems and exposure to a manufacturing environment will help you succeed in this role. A proactive mindset, reliability and the ability to work independently are equally important.
