Management Accountant (Commercial Finance)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product costing, margin analysis, and variance reporting to support profitability and operational performance
  • Prepare management reports, financial commentary, and key business insights for decision-making purposes
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes while monitoring costs against financial targets
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiencies
  • Support Capex initiatives through ROI analysis, business cases, and post-investment reviews
  • Investigate stock variances and strengthen internal controls to improve inventory accuracy
  • Ensure effective utilisation of SAP for reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Provide financial insight and performance analysis to support operational and strategic objectives
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards, financial controls, and company policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team capability to ensure high performance and strong service delivery

Job Experience and Skills Required

Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CIMA or CA(SA)

Experience

  • Minimum 4 - 5 years’ management accounting experience
  • Strong commercial costing experience essential
  • Exposure to manufacturing, processing, or operational environments advantageous
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Previous people management exposure beneficial
  • ERP systems experience, particularly SAP, advantageous
