Technical Buyer

Minimum 5 years previous experience as a technical buyer

Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing goods or services

Manage vendor relationships

Vendor management - source relialbe suppliers, negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules

Market Analysis - monitor market trends, supplier and customer stratergies

Inventory control - collaborate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels

Quality assurance - evaluate samples

Generate and authorize purchase orders

Must be comfortable with budgeting, numeracy and financial forecasting

Strong negotaiting skills

Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

Forklift licence will be advantageous

Matric + relelvant buyer or supply chain certificate

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & Afrikaans

Own transport essential
