An opportunity exists for experienced DIESEL TECHNICIANS to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership group operating multiple busy service centres across South Africa, based in Middelburg.
- The successful candidates will join high-volume truck workshops servicing a range of commercial vehicle brands, supporting fleet operators, logistics companies, and owner-drivers.
- This position is best suited to qualified diesel mechanics with strong diagnostic capability, dealership or fleet workshop experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment.
- Candidates must be comfortable working on heavy commercial vehicles and trucks, handling breakdowns, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs while maintaining high technical standards and productivity.

- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on commercial trucks and heavy vehicles
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on fleet vehicles
- Carry out engine, drivetrain, braking, suspension, and electrical repairs
- Attend to roadside breakdowns and field service when required
- Maintain workshop productivity and meet repair time standards
- Ensure all work is completed according to dealership and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and technical reports
- Support workshop foremen and service advisors in resolving complex mechanical faults
- Maintain safe working practices and workshop housekeeping standards
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Technician Certificate (essential)
- Min 5 years’ exp. within a commercial truck workshop or dealership environment
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles / trucks
- Exposure to leading truck / workshop brands (adv)
- Ability to work independently within a busy workshop environment
- Willing to perform breakdown support, overtime and standby duties where required
- Own basic tool set required
- Valid Code EC / Code 14 driver’s licence (adv)

- Local residency near branch or willingness to relocate
