The role of the

Business Development Manager

is to drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, and building strong customer relationships within the textile and manufacturing sector. The role focuses on both strategic and operational sales development aligned to production capabilities.

1. Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in local and international textile markets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets
  • Expand customer base across key sectors (e.g. automotive textiles, apparel, industrial fabrics, retail)
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, tenders, and pricing models

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Act as the main point of contact for strategic accounts
  • Understand customer needs and align solutions with production capabilities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

3. Market Analysis & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
  • Provide insights into pricing, demand forecasts, and product development opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop long-term growth strategies

4. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, planning, procurement, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and delivery
  • Align customer expectations with operational capabilities and lead times
  • Support new product development initiatives based on market demand

5. Contract & Commercial Management

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of business
  • Ensure profitability through effective cost analysis and margin management
  • Monitor and manage sales performance against targets and budgets

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue performance
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management

Maintain CRM systems and accurate customer record.

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 5–8 years’ experience in business development or sales within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the textile industry is highly advantageous
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share

  • The suitable candidate must have the qualifications detailed in the job description.
  • This position is Senior Level Management (8-10 years experience in a management roll.

The remuneration would be based on the abovementioned pointers/ Market related.
