SUPERMARKET MANAGER
(UPINGTON)
The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the overall management and profitable operation of a large supermarket employing more than 80 employees.
Minimum Requirements
- At least Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 5 – 10 years’ proven management experience in a senior management role within a supermarket or retail group
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good financial and administrative insight
- Ability to function under pressure and achieve targets
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and experience with retail systems
- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
- Reliable, professional and results-driven
Key Responsibilities
- Full management and control of the store’s daily operations
- Management of staff, discipline, productivity and performance
- Ensuring excellent customer service and customer experience
- Management of stock control, ordering and stock losses
- Monitoring sales, profitability and budgets
- Management of store standards, merchandising and cleanliness
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Handling administration, reporting and operational control
- Driving sales and implementing strategic growth initiatives
