Rebar Detailer (Structural | Revit & AutoCAD)

Our client, who are consulting Engineers are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rebar Detailer to join their Structural Engineering team in Cape Town.

This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with experience in rebar detailing and scheduling, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Produce accurate rebar layouts and schedules from engineering drawings and design information
• Develop 2D and 3D models using tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and specialised rebar software
• Perform material take-offs and estimate reinforcing steel quantities
• Review rebar layouts and schedules to ensure compliance with required standards
• Ensure timely delivery of work while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and project stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a structural engineering environment
• Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (essential)
• Experience with rebar scheduling software (e.g. Probar, Padds)
• Working knowledge of SANS 282 rebar scheduling code
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Valid driver’s license (essential)
• Own vehicle (advantageous)
