Essential Health Pharmacy Group is looking for a dynamic senior IT Technician with a passion for improvement, innovation and demonstrated ability to manage IT operations independently. This role will require the ideal candidate to take full ownership of the IT functions, managing day‑to‑day operations and long‑term planning. This is an Onsite position and is based at our Head Office in Brackenfell.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the alignment of technology and business objectives
- Support business growth by recommending and implementing new technologies
- Proactively identify IT gaps, risks, and inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
- Perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting
- Support applications and systems i.e. O365, Power Apps, onsite server environment
- Daily server checks to ensure all systems are running optimally
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate network issues to employees and management
- On site network support
- Ensure system security, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery processes are in place
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
- End user and Desktop Support
- Software integration and associated infrastructure support
- Operate independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the group’s branches
- Ensure efficient and cost effective BAU support is delivered to the customer in line with the business objectives
- Install and configure IT equipment: Computers, laptops, laying of network cables, install of IP Phones, installation and configure of IP-CCTV camera’s
- Engage frequently with the pharmacies to maintain awareness of expectations and service delivery experiences
- Ad hoc responsibilities as required to support the operational requirements of the pharmacies and central office
- Travelling between pharmacies from time-to-time
Qualifications and Experience
- IT related Diploma or Degree (Required)
- Microsoft Office Expert Level Proficiency (Required)
- Advanced Excel skills (Required)
- 4-6 years in a similar role (Preferred)
- Preferred experience with hypervisors, servers, managed switches, firewalls.
- Desktop support, 0365 Administration (Required)
- UI/UX knowledge (Advantageous)
- Linux (Advantageous)
