Software Developer required for an Engineering company in Rosebank, Johannesburg. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. 0-2 years of working experience in software development, web development, Linux, Database management, Cloud Technologies and Mobile Development.

Software Developer (Computer Science)

Rosebank, Johannesburg

Minimum requirements and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
• 0-2 years of working experience in software development, web development, Linux, Database management (SQL databases Preferably MySQL), Cloud Technologies and Mobile Development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP and Python.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure setup and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions for existing and new products
• System design and architecture.
• Linux environment (very little Windows or Mac)
• Web development using JavaScriipt, PHP, Python, C++
• Cloud-based development
• SQL Databases (MySQL)
• Collaborating with electronic engineers on designs
• Planning and setting up CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Engaging in research to improve on systems.
