Senior Factory Planner

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Factory Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring customer orders are delivered in full and on time (OTIF) while maximizing plant efficiency and machine utilization.

• Develop and manage production schedules to optimize machine capacity, material availability, and customer delivery requirements.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning for the factory.

• Monitor and control Work in Progress (WIP) to ensure production plans are achieved.

• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Logistics, and Procurement to meet customer demand and OTIF targets.

• Assist with paper procurement, inventory management, and stock optimization.

• Plan customer orders in line with agreed lead times, machine capacity, and material availability.

• Compile and distribute planning, production, and performance reports.

• To take corrective and preventative actions to identify and remedy non-conformances.

• Ensure compliance with SHEQ, ISO, and company standards and procedures.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.

• Ensure adherence to Company policies, legal requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, FSC, and Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.

• Matric Certificate with Pure Mathematics.

• BCom Degree or relevant tertiary qualification.

• Computer literacy and strong analytical skills.

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and logistics.

• Extensive paper knowledge and machine utilization experience.

• Printing and Packaging industry experience will be advantageous.
