A well-established contract truck hire company is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team.
This position is suited to a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in truck and trailer maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring fleet reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high workshop standards.
Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conduct advanced fault-finding and diagnostics
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to
• Attend to breakdowns and emergency repairs when required
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
• Assist with technical support and guidance to workshop staff
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Trade-tested / Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Extensive experience working on trucks and trailers
• Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Leadership and mentoring ability will be advantageous
• Willingness to be on standby and work overtime when required
• Valid driver's licence
• Experience within the transport, fleet, or logistics industry will be advantageous
