Junior Finance Administrator

Pulse Tiles is seeking a Junior Finance Administrator to support the finance function by performing day-to-day financial and administrative duties. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with reconciliations, supporting reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with company financial procedures. This position provides foundational financial administration support while offering opportunities to develop accounting and financial management skills
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Prepare payment schedules for review and approval.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier records and filing systems.
- Assist with creditor account management.
Financial Record Keeping
- Capture financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical financial records.
- Organize and archive supporting documentation.
- Ensure all financial records comply with company policies and audit requirements.
Bank and Account Reconciliations
- Perform daily, weekly, or monthly bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items.
- Reconcile petty cash accounts.
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations.
Financial Reporting Support
- Prepare routine financial reports and summaries.
- Assist with monthly management accounts preparation.
- Compile expenditure reports.
- Support budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Assist in gathering information for financial audits.
Administrative Support
- Maintain finance department records and documentation.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and document management.
- Respond to internal and external finance-related queries.
- Coordinate finance-related correspondence.
- Schedule meetings and assist with departmental administration.
Compliance and Controls
- Adhere to company financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper authorization processes are followed.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Support internal control processes.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance activities.
Essential
- Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field.
- Basic accounting knowledge and principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- 3 - 5 years working experience in the same role
Preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Bookkeeping certification.
- Exposure to accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Pastel.
R10 000 - R15 000 (Depending on skills, qualifications and experience)
Please note that is a 6 day work week role (Mondays to Saturdays)
