MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Degree or Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Certificate in leadership & management would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role managing a team.
  • Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including assembly, consolidation, and scanning processes.
  • Working understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), with exposure to Scale WMS and Amtrack would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to capture, analyse, and report on operational data.
  • Strong understanding of supervisory practices within a warehouse environment, including team coordination and workflow management.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures and quality control processes within a rework or assembly setting.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

  • Manage and supervise the assembly team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure an efficient workflow and high-quality output.
  • Address HR-related matters as required, including leave planning and employee queries.
  • Ensure that daily production schedules and productivity targets are consistently met.
  • Analyse assembly data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimise efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in the assembly process.
  • Oversee and maintain quality control processes to ensure all products meet Amrod’s quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks or constraints within the assembly process.
  • Allocate tasks effectively and manage workforce planning to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales team to communicate any delays or queries encountered during order consolidation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce waste, control costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely, in compliance with company policies and procedures, equipment regulations, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Must be available to work overtime, extended shifts, and weekends in accordance with operational requirements.
