We’re Hiring: Content Editor (Remote | South Africa)

Perception Studios is looking for a full-time Content Editor to join our growing team.

We’re a creative studio focused on helping brands, founders, and creators turn long-form conversations into high-quality content ecosystems across YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

As our client roster expands, we’re looking for someone who’s excited to grow with us and become a core part of the editing team.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Editing short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Repurposing long-form podcasts and interviews into engaging clips
  • Assisting with YouTube edits and supporting assets
  • Incorporating subtitles, B-roll, music, graphics, and motion elements where needed
  • Collaborating through Slack, Frameio, and Notion
  • Implementing feedback and maintaining consistency across projects

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, Canva
  • Basic understanding of After Effects (a bonus, not essential)
  • Good instinct for storytelling, pacing, and retention
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Reliable communication and responsiveness during working hours
  • Someone who’s eager to learn and contribute to building systems as we grow

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has 1–3 years of editing experience
  • Wants exposure to agency workflows and creator content
  • Enjoys working behind the scenes to bring ideas to life
  • Is excited by the opportunity to grow into a more senior role over time

Remote (South Africa-based preferred)

Full-time

Compensation: R10,000 per month (with opportunities for growth as responsibilities increase)
