- Actively support operational teams during busy periods and staffing shortages
- Supervise front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services to ensure exceptional service standards
- Oversee restaurant, bar, conferencing, and special event operations
- Support marine tourism operations and work collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure safe, efficient service delivery
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction, responding promptly and professionally to complaints and incidents
- Manage purchasing, stock control, budgeting, and operational reporting
- Recruit, train, coach, and performance manage staff while fostering a positive team culture
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, tourism partners, suppliers, and the local community
- Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional hospitality
- Participate in the practical aspects of resort operations where required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in senior hospitality leadership roles within resorts, lodges, or remote tourism environments
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-department hospitality operations
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, stock management, and reporting
- Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in challenging environments
- Experience handling guest complaints, operational incidents, and crisis situations

- Practical understanding of remote infrastructure, including generators, water systems, waste management systems, or facility maintenance
- Experience with reservation systems and POS platforms such as RMS, FareHarbor, Swift POS, or Tower POS
- Manual driver's licence (MR licence advantageous)

- Strong work ethic and sense of accountability
- Comfortable living and working in a close-knit, remote community

- Self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions
- Leads by example and earns respect through action
AUD $75,000 – $80,000 per annum (inclusive of food and on-site accommodation)
Please note that this is an on-site role in a remote region of Western Australia. Candidates must be willing to relocate and live within a small, community-based environment.
Sponsorship is available for suitable South African candidates.
