ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SEO & PPC Specialist to join our digital marketing team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of SEO and paid advertising who is eager to develop their skills in Local SEO, Technical SEO, National SEO, and PPC campaign management. The successful candidate will assist with campaign execution, reporting, and optimisation while learning from experienced digital marketing professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Assist in implementing SEO strategies across Local SEO, Technical SEO, and National SEO campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for website growth.
- Support website audits and identify basic SEO issues affecting performance.
- Meta titles and descriptions
- Header tag optimisation
- Image optimisation
- Internal linking
- Monitor website rankings and organic traffic performance.
- Assist with local SEO activities including Google Business Profile optimisation and citation management.
- Support link-building outreach and backlink monitoring efforts.
- Help identify and report technical SEO issues such as broken links, crawl errors, duplicate content, and page speed concerns.
- Stay informed about SEO trends, search engine updates, and best practices.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Management
- Assist in setting up and managing PPC campaigns across Google Ads and social media platforms.
- Support keyword research and audience targeting for paid campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Assist with creating and updating ad copy, extensions, and creatives.
- Help manage budgets and bid adjustments under senior team guidance.
- Support A/B testing initiatives to improve campaign performance.
- Monitor key PPC metrics such as CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and ROAS.
- Stay up-to-date with PPC platform updates and industry developments.
Reporting & Analytics
- Assist in preparing monthly and weekly performance reports for SEO and PPC campaigns.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Search Console
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Ads
- Help track conversions, goals, and user behaviour metrics.
- Identify trends and provide basic recommendations based on data analysis.
- Support senior team members in presenting campaign results and insights to clients or stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate reporting dashboards and campaign documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- 0–2 years of experience in SEO, PPC, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, including:
- On-page SEO
- Local SEO
- Technical SEO fundamentals
- Basic understanding of Google Ads and paid media concepts.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console.
- Knowledge of keyword research and search engine ranking factors.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog.
- Exposure to social media advertising platforms (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
- Understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) principles.
- Google Ads Certification
- Google Analytics Certification
- SEMrush SEO Fundamentals
- Digital Marketing qualification or related tertiary education.
