Role Purpose

Develop, test, deploy, maintain and support a portfolio of new and existing reports/dashboards and analytics services.

Support the SDLC process from high-level business requirements and designs, through the development and testing process, to implementation, to final maintenance and support.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience.
  • Relevant IT qualification (NDipIT, Bachelors in IT or IS, or BTech, Data Science etc.).
  • Relevant Microsoft Qualification (PL-300 preferred) – Desirable.
  • PowerBI Dashboard Development Experience.
  • PowerBI Paginated.
  • Data visualisation skills with eye for cosmetic/design details.
  • Database knowledge and querying skills.
  • SQL Server Management Studio.
  • PostgreSQL.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master/Project Manager to deliver high quality, visually appealing, accurate reports and dashboards, in line with the agreed processes and business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct analysis and prioritise requests.
  • Partner with Business and/or Analysts to translate business requirements into workable reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Ensure that developed reports and dashboards are documented to reflect all business rules and parameters applied.
  • Conduct Unit Testing of own code to ensure optimal run-times
  • Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) and training material to ensure that reports and dashboards produce the desired results.
  • Provide stakeholders with regular feedback on the design, development and release timelines.
  • Diagnose root causes of data quality issues through problem-solving and data analysis to recommend potential solutions.
  • Monitor performance of reports and dashboards and make recommendations to improve the performance where necessary.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and stakeholders to ensure that expectations are managed.
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
