As our Tax Compliance Specialist | International, you’ll play a key part in delivering a world class Tax Compliance Specialist | International function, getting hands-on with executing day to day tax compliance activities, including the preparation of tax calculations, returns, and supporting documentation, ensuring that all filings are accurate, complete, and delivered on time in accordance with applicable tax laws and internal policies. The role supports the Tax Compliance Manager by ensuring that tax data, reconciliations, and compliance outputs are reliable and well documented, contributing to effective tax governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness in a NYSE listed environment. What You’ll Do
Tax Compliance Preparation
- Prepare tax returns, declarations, and supporting schedules across relevant tax types, including corporate income tax, provisional taxes, gaming taxes, indirect taxes (VAT/GST, sales tax), withholding taxes and payroll related taxes (where applicable)
- Ensure calculations are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentation
Data Collection and Processing
- Collect financial and transactional data from accounting systems and local finance teams
- Compile and organise data required for tax calculations and filings
- Ensure data is formatted and prepared in line with compliance requirements and templates
Data Validation and Reconciliation
- Perform reconciliations between tax returns and financial records monthly or as required
- Validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues to the Tax Compliance Manager
Compliance Calendar and Deliverables Support
- Support management of tax compliance timelines and deliverables
- Track submission status and ensure all required information is provided on time
- Complete and keep tax compliance registers up to date for assigned entities or jurisdictions
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain well organised and up to date tax files, working papers, and supporting documentation
- Ensure all work is audit ready, traceable, and aligned with internal standards and SOX requirements
Tax Authority and Audit Support
- Compile supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation as requested
- Maintain logs of information requests and responses
Tax Governance and Control Execution
- Follow the organisation’s Tax Governance Framework and compliance procedures
- Apply established controls and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify and escalate any control issues, errors, or risks
External Advisor Coordination Support
- Assist with information requests from external tax advisors as communicated to you by Tax Compliance Managers
- Provide data and documentation required for filings or reviews
- Track deliverables by updating tax registers and ensure timely responses
Team Collaboration and Development
- Work closely with Tax Compliance Manager, International Tax Analyst, other Tax Compliance Specialists and Finance teams
- Develop technical knowledge of tax compliance processes and requirements
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice within the team

- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Honours degree in Tax / Master’s degree in Tax will be advantageous
- Professional qualification CA(SA), CPA, CTA, or equivalent
- 5 + years’ experience in tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting
- Experience in a multinational and / or listed company environment including jurisdiction across Europe, UK, NZ, Canada and Middle East.
- Strong knowledge of tax legislation and principles, OECD guidelines and BEPS initiatives
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting and reporting in line with IFRS (IAS 12)
- Ability to operate in a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environment
- Strong analytical, governance, and risk management capability
- High level of integrity and professional judgment
- Experience in Microsoft suite including Excel and MS Word
Desirable Skills You’ve Got Up Your Sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
- Knowledge and experience with accounting and reporting software: Business Central / Navision and Microsoft TM1
- Knowledge and experience with tax software: Thomson Reuters (Orbitax and OTP)
- Experience or knowledge of SOX
