HR Generalist

HR Generalist with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR operations role and exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with at least 2 years’ experience in recruiting for technology / data and other specialist roles, required for a FinTech Company based in Stellenbosch.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end employee journey - keep managers informed and provide practical insights to support people decisions
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard to fill roles
- Manage relationships with external recruitment partners
- Represent company at career fairs, networking events and other opportunities to attract great people
- Deliver onboarding that helps new employees settle in quickly, understand the business, and start contributing with confidence
- Partner and build strong relationships with managers
- Provide practical guidance on people and processes related decisions to Managers
- Drive the performance management process
- Deliver people initiatives that improve engagement and capability
- Ensure employee records, HR systems and people administration are accurate, reliable and up to date
- Follow HR process consistently and monitor employees use the right tools and systems effectively
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar qualifications essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR operations role essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in recruiting for technology / data and other specialist roles required
- Must have the ability to support and challenge managers when needed, have sound judgements and a practical approach.
- Must be able and willing to travel across Africa when required
