PBCS Consulting South Africa is looking for a Junior Azure & Active Directory Specialist with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to join our team and support enterprise infrastructure modernization projects across the Eastern Cape.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure to complex environments, working alongside experienced consultants while building strong technical foundations in Active Directory and hybrid identity.

Many of our client environments require stabilization and optimization before adopting advanced cloud, endpoint management, and cybersecurity solutions—this is where you come in.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining Active Directory environments

• Support domain controller health, replication, DNS, and authentication processes

• Help maintain and monitor hybrid identity synchronization (Azure AD Connect)

• Perform AD cleanup tasks (stale accounts, devices, permissions)

• Assist with Group Policy management and basic optimization

• Support integration with platforms such as Microsoft Intune and other enterprise tools

• Work closely with senior engineers and infrastructure teams on client projects

Minimum Requirements

• 1–2 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory

• Basic understanding of AD concepts (DNS, replication, authentication)

• Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid environments is advantageous

• Foundational PowerShell skills (or willingness to learn)

• Relevant Microsoft certifications (or currently working towards them)

• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a consulting environment
