S Mechanical Engineer (0–2 Years Experience)

A Mechanica Engineering Company is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with up to 2 years' experience to join our engineering and construction team.
The successful candidate will support projects in the oil & gas, energy, fuel storage, LPG, bulk liquid storage, firefighting, and industrial infrastructure sectors. Exposure includes feasibility studies, engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities Engineering Support
- Assist with calculations, reports, specifications, datasheets, and drawings.
- Support design activities for piping, tanks, pressure systems, firefighting systems, mechanical equipment, and utilities.
- Review vendor documentation and participate in design reviews.
- Assist with equipment lists, material take-offs, and technical schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
Project & Site Support
- Assist with engineering, procurement, and construction coordination.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and technical correspondence.
- Participate in site inspections, quality checks, and progress monitoring.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
Procurement & Safety
- Assist with technical requisitions, bid evaluations, and supplier engagements.
- Support material tracking and quantity verification.
- Promote a strong safety culture and participate in risk assessments where required.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
- 0–2 years' relevant experience.
- Exposure to industrial, energy, petrochemical, infrastructure, or construction projects is advantageous.
- Internship, graduate programme, or vacation work experience beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industrial systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, or similar software will be advantageous.
