Mining Engineer/Mining Manager

Premier African Minerals is currently recruiting for the Zulu Lithium project in Zimbabwe. There are two exciting positions available, both based full time in Zimbabwe.

Position 1: Mining Engineer/Mining Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Ensuring high standards of pit design and production.

Ø Pit design production planning in an accurate and timely manner using Datamine.

Ø Communicating daily with production personnel, to ensure the right quality and quantity + of ore is delivered to the plant.

Ø Carrying out monthly reconciliations to reconcile planned with actual production data

Ø feedback to Geology and processing.

Ø Ensuring that Safety Health & Environment issues are adhered to within the section.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Skills.

Ø BSc (Hons) in Mining Engineering (upper second class) or equivalent.

Ø At least 8 years' experience with 5 years at an open pit mine.

Ø Relevant open pit mining experience.

Ø Knowledge of 3 D modelling (Datamine) will be highly recommended.

Ø Full Blasting License

Position 2: Mine Planning Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Long, Medium and Short Term Mine Planning.

Ø Optimize medium-term mine plan / schedule.

Ø Generation of Mine Designs, Scheduling and Mine Block Model.

Ø Ensure the Mine Plan complies with Company policies.

Ø Ability to do Costing, Budgeting and Finance tasks.

Ø Functional duties - includes interpretation of geology data.

Ø Innovative and self-starter.

Ø Any other functions associated with Mine Planning Service

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Skills.

Ø BSc (Hons) in Mining Engineering.

Ø At least 10 years' experience.

Ø Knowledge of 3 D modelling (Datamine).

Ø Solve Complex Problems / Make Judgements & Decisions / Critical Thinking
