Maintenance Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operator to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized drilling and mining equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on directional drilling rigs, pumps, and associated mining equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Perform on-site repairs, including replacement of hoses, filters, seals, and mechanical components.
• Assist drilling crews during equipment setup, mobilization, and demobilization activities.
• Carry out pre-start and post-operation inspections.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and inventory logs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and site procedures.

Required Technical Competencies

• Sound understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and high-pressure fluid systems.
• Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements.
• Understanding of Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Familiarity with directional drilling equipment, mud motors, steerable tools, and downhole survey equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
