Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance, including tax filings, audits, and submissions to relevant authorities.
  • Own the year-end close process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.

Financial Controls & Risk Management

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.
  • Deliver monthly variance analysis and meaningful financial commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Provide accurate cash flow forecasting and working capital management.

Team Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight that drives commercial outcomes.
  • Support the CFO with strategic projects, including M&A activity, system implementations, and process transformation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (essential).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior controllership or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience managing statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP and/or IFRS).
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a finance team.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a mid-size, growth-stage business environment is highly advantageous.
