Position Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month end workbook for multiple entities, including posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll entries, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting.
- Support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Support ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA(SA), CIMA or ACCA designation or working toward a designation preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with modern accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
