MTN's strategy toward 2030, focuses on transitioning from a traditional telecom company into a platform-based technology business. The strategy aims to establish MTN as a holding company managing three core platforms—Connectivity, Fintech, and Digital Infrastructure—with a strong emphasis on sustainability, AI, and Pan-African growth
The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which MTN operates. The Regulatory Affairs unit must therefore ensure the successful delivery in context of:
- Rapidly changing ICT environment
- The geographic and geopolitical complexity of MTN’s foot print across Africa and the Middle East
- Management of diversity of regulatory frameworks across all OpCos and PlatformCos
- Management of customer and supplier expectations
- Enhance MTN position as a leading network and system provider
- Constant dynamics and local challenges in the economic, regulatory and legal environments
