Overview
The purpose of this role is to facilitate, assess and support the delivery of compliant, high-quality training interventions in line with BME standards, SHERQ requirements, and South African regulatory frameworks, ensuring competence, safety and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Valid driver’s licence
- Facilitators Qualification
- Computer Literate (Microsoft office and LMS, Payspace Dynamic 360)
Advantageous
- Registered Facilitator with relevant QCTO/SETA
- Assessors Qualification
- Moderator Qualification
- Relevant mining, explosives or technical qualification
Experience
- 3 years’ demonstrated experience as Facilitator, Assessor and admin in a mining/explosive environment training environment
- Demonstrated experience as a Moderator
Advantageous
- Experience working with QCTO/SETA -aligned programmes
- Exposure to DOVER, E-Learning or Simulator Training
- Experience in multi-site or remote training delivery
Duties
Training Programmes - To Facilitate and deliver quality Training Interventions and Assessments – as per the standards set by BME
- To impart information to employees on Work Instructions, compulsory information programmes, soft skills and In-House training sessions.
- To ensure, through their knowledge that BME SHERQ requirements are met and emphasised during training and lectures – that are current and up to standard.
- To ensure that a good line of communication and understanding is maintained for the duration of the training while employees are utilising the computer based and Practical Training as well as participate and conduct assessments on site.
- To arrange DOVER test for all new drivers and be able to put employees through our BME Driving Simulator

- To facilitate the day-to-day running of the Training Lectures at the AOTC (Africa Operations Training Centre) more importantly, training at BME remote Sites and in other African countries.
Updated and Accurate Training Records
- To ensure any completed Training is captured and entered the Training Data Base
- To arrange planning and scheduling of training interventions
- To ensure daily updates of the Training register have been captured and Site Inductions have been conducted
- To ensure student evaluation forms are completed
Dover and Simulator Training
- Arrange Dover training for all new drivers facilitate BME Driving Simulator – utilizing resources at their disposal
Training Centre Readiness for Training Programme
- To log on all personnel utilising the Training centre computers with relevant Username and Password
- To ensure printing of training reports & attendance registers are all correctly completed and signed
