We are seeking a Senior Manager - Information Security – AI Centre of Excellence to lead the security pillar of the AI COE and serve as the custodian of MTN's BRAIN policy for safe, secure and responsible AI.

Reporting to the General Manager - AI COE, this role is responsible for leading the design and operation of MTN's AI security strategy, controls and assurance model across Generative AI, machine learning, data pipelines and AI-enabled products.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading the AI COE security pillar and embedding BRAIN policy requirements across standards, procedures and product gates.
• Defining and implementing MTN's AI security strategy and secure architecture standards.
• Operationalising security guardrails for Generative AI and large language models.
• Establishing adversarial machine learning defence and AI red teaming capabilities.
• Driving Secure MLOps and data security practices.
• Integrating AI security monitoring and incident response with enterprise security capabilities.
• Aligning AI security controls with applicable policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Partnering across business and technology functions to embed secure-by-design principles into AI-enabled services.
• Building AI security capability and leading performance reporting, tooling and vendor management.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Honours degree is advantageous.
• Relevant security certifications (such as CISSP or CCSP) and AI or cloud certifications are advantageous.

Experience required

• 5–10+ years' experience in cybersecurity or platform security.
• 3–5+ years securing AI/ML platforms, Generative AI/LLM ecosystems or data-intensive analytics at enterprise scale.
• Experience establishing security operating models and driving group-wide policy adoption in complex, multi-country organisations.
• Experience with cloud-native AI platforms, Secure MLOps, AI incident response and AI red teaming.
