SUMMARY

Our client in the Stellenbosch / Joostenbergvlakte area is seeking a highly motivated Quality and Compliance Officer/Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role is essential to maintaining quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, implementing best practices in food safety and a passion for quality in the food production sector.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 Tertiary qualification Very strong administration skills Strong observational skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical skills Experience in conducting training sessions and supporting team development Capability to perform basic quality testing and assessments Proactive approach in identifying and solving quality issues Own transport and license Willing to work overtime and night shifts during peak season Duties and Responsibilities: Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures throughout the packing process from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and collaborate with the team to implement solutions that enhance product quality and safety Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices, including HACCP and GlobalGAP requirements Audits and Inspections: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards; address any non-compliance issues effectively Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to staff on quality standards, compliance requirements, and food handling practices Reporting: Prepare regular quality performance reports, documenting inspection results, quality issues, and corrective actions taken PLEASE NOTE : Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
