About the Role A leading industrial operation is seeking an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Foreman to join their maintenance team in Durban. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader with a solid maintenance background and proven experience managing artisans within a demanding production environment. Key Requirements: Trade Tested Artisan Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification 8–10 years' relevant maintenance experience Minimum 5 years' supervisory/management experience Experience managing teams of 20–30 artisans Strong preventative and breakdown maintenance experience Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Mining or heavy industrial experience highly advantageous Valid driver's licence Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations
• Drive preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
• Minimise plant downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and resource allocation
• Provide technical support and hands-on assistance where required
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Drive maintenance performance and team productivity
• Support fault-finding and implementation of corrective actions The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a hands-on approach, capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining high maintenance standards and team performance.
