POSITION INFO
The High Voltage Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design coordination, execution, and delivery of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects. The role will focus on HV networks, reticulation, substations, and associated infrastructure works within an EPC project environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate high-voltage electrical project activities from design through to execution. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and technical delivery. Oversee HV reticulation, electrical infrastructure, and site installation activities. Review drawings, technical specifications, designs, and project documentation. Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. Monitor site progress and assist with resolving technical and construction-related issues. Ensure compliance with relevant South African electrical standards, regulations, and project requirements. Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out documentation. Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project status feedback. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Registered Engineer with ECSA preferred / required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-voltage infrastructure projects. Strong experience in electrical reticulation and infrastructure project delivery. EPC project experience will be highly advantageous. Experience working on substations, power distribution, HV/MV systems, or utility infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of project execution, construction coordination, and technical compliance. Ability to work on projects across South Africa. Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills. Valid driver’s licence.
