SUMMARY

A busy and well-established manufacturing business in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Accountant on a short-term contract. The role will support the finance function during a critical period, ensuring accurate reconciliations and strong financial controls. This position requires a hands-on individual who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and managing banking processes. A high level of confidentiality and attention to detail is essential.

POSITION INFO

Maintain and reconcile trial balance accounts monthly Process weekly banking documentation within strict deadlines Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for local and foreign accounts Monitor cash balances and manage local and foreign liquidity Transfer excess funds and support treasury-related activities Coordinate foreign currency transactions prior to payments Process petty cash transactions where applicable Verify supplier payments are correctly matched to invoices on a weekly basis Review monthly supplier reconciliations within prescribed deadlines Validate GRV account matching for the prior month Investigate and resolve supplier queries and reconciling items promptly Maintain accurate customer and supplier master data, including FICA compliance Submit new supplier/customer details for approval prior to system activation Liaise with suppliers on credit applications and account-related queries Ensure all banking, supplier, and customer documentation is properly filed (electronic and manual) Skills & Experience: SAGE X3 Beneficial Beneficial Qualification: Finance-related degree SAICA/SAIPA Completed Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
