Accountant

An accounting firm is looking for an Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and oversee their accounting and financial reporting needs. This role is suited to an experienced candidate who is able to work closely with clients, review financial work, and ensure that all accounting functions are completed accurately and on time.

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients across various industries
• Review monthly bookkeeping and accounting work
• Prepare and review management accounts and annual financial statements
• Oversee tax compliance, including VAT and income tax submissions
• Liaise with clients and provide guidance on financial matters
• Review the work of junior staff and provide support where needed
• Ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met

• Relevant accounting qualification
• Strong experience within an accounting firm environment
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios
