A well-established chartered accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Business Development Officer to support the growth of its client portfolio and strengthen its market presence. This role is suited to a commercially minded professional who can identify new business opportunities, build meaningful client relationships, and contribute to the firm's strategic growth objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to promote the firm's accounting, tax, audit, advisory, and related professional services.   • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
  • Develop and implement business development initiatives aligned with the firm's growth strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Promote the firm's accounting, audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services to the market.
  • Prepare proposals, tender submissions, capability statements, and client presentations.
  • Coordinate and support marketing campaigns, networking activities, and industry events.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends.
  • Maintain a pipeline of business opportunities and provide regular progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with partners and service teams to ensure successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Assist in developing strategic partnerships and referral networks.
  • Represent the firm professionally at client meetings, conferences, and business forums.
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year's proven experience in business development, client relationship management, professional services, or a similar role.
  • Understanding of the accounting, audit, tax, or professional services environment will be advantageous.
  • Experience preparing proposals, tenders, and business presentations.
  • Strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve business development objectives.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
