Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to lead and grow our short-term insurance advisory division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sales team, driving targets and revenue and coaching advisors and agents while strengthening insurer and client relationships, and identifying strategic growth opportunities within the business. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in adviser management, business development, and short-term insurance operations.

The position can be based in Bloemfontein, Pretoria, Reitz, Bethlehem or Kimberley - depending on where you are located.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, support and develop insurance advisers
  • Secure new business growth strategies
  • Implement sales strategies and performance initiatives
  • Monitor production, profitability, retention and service standards
  • Recruit and develop new advisers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, advisers, and key clients and other stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor advisers to improve performance and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with FAIS and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in developing a high-performance sales culture to generate premium production

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 10 + years’ experience in short-term insurance
  • 5 – 10 Years proven experience in adviser / broker management or distribution management
  • Strong sales and business development background
  • RE5 qualification
  • Industry relevant NQF qualification or degree
  • Post graduate qualifications will be advantages (E.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP), MBA, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of Short-Term Insurance (Agri, Commercial and Personal lines)
  • Existing industry network will be advantageous
  • Valid driver's license
