POSITION INFO

Hardware Retail Sales Representative Area: Mbombela, Mpumalanga Package: R25,000 - R30,000 Basic PM (Depending on Experience) + Company Car + Medical Aid + Pension + Commission Role Purpose Our client is looking for a high-energy Sales Representative to drive the growth of their Adhesives & Sealants portfolio. You will be responsible for servicing an existing customer base, expanding distribution through new business development, and ensuring world-class merchandising standards in the Vaal Triangle, JHB South, Alberton, Potchefstroom & Klerksdorp areas. Key Responsibilities Sales & Growth: Meet monthly sales and GP targets; identify and close new business opportunities within the hardware/retail sector. Account Management: Maintain a regular call cycle to service existing clients, manage stock levels, and implement GAP analysis to introduce new product lines. Brand Excellence: Oversee in-store merchandising, conduct product training for customers, and represent the brand at trade shows. Admin & Logistics: Manage contract pricing, assist with debt collection/credit queries, and provide accurate weekly/monthly sales reports. Team Collaboration: Work closely with merchandisers, technical trainers, and distribution teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Requirements Education: Matric (Grade 12) essential; Tertiary Diploma in Sales/Marketing highly advantageous. Experience: 4-6 years of proven sales and business development experience (ideally within hardware, FMCG, or industrial consumables). Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of hardware sales trends and retail distribution. Skills: Strong assertive communication, high initiative, and proficiency in sales reporting (knowledge of QlikView is a plus). Attributes: A self-starter capable of maintaining high productivity levels and building influential professional relationships. Fully Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (Beneficial) Why Apply?
