Our client, a well-established player within the FMCG space, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys leading teams, improving plant performance, and driving engineering best practice. You will play a critical role in ensuring machinery operates optimally while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and projects. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a maintenance team to deliver top-tier technical solutions - Drive plant uptime, reliability, and performance optimisation - Conduct root cause analysis and implement lasting fixes - Enforce and improve engineering standards and audits - Support projects from concept through to commissioning - Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise high-impact work Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile: Education - BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related Experience - 3+ years in mechanical maintenance (supervisory level) - Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles - Proven leadership and team management ability Skills - Preventative & predictive maintenance (PPM) - Root cause analysis (RCA) & fault finding - Plant reliability & uptime optimisation - Maintenance planning & breakdown management - Engineering audits & project exposure Location: KwaZulu-Natal Apply now!
