Junior Stock Controller

The primary responsibility of the Junior Stock Controller is to ensure accurate control of all stock movements and to maintain optimal inventory accuracy across Landis+Gyr premises and external subcontractor locations.

The role is responsible for supporting end-to-end inventory processes, ensuring that all transactions, from inbound receiving through to finished goods dispatch are executed accurately, timely, and in accordance with defined procedures.

In addition, the role ensures that production lines are supplied with the correct materials at the right time by verifying that kits and assembly components are picked and issued accurately in line with approved picking documentation.

Core Responsibility – Junior Stock Controller

The Junior Stock Controller is responsible for executing and controlling end-to-end inventory and material flow processes, including inbound receiving, storage, production kitting, inventory accuracy, subcontractor issuing & stock control, and finished goods dispatch.

The role ensures that all materials are accurately received, verified, stored, picked, kitted, issued to production, and dispatched in alignment with system (SAP) records.

The Junior Stock Controller maintains high levels of inventory accuracy by enforcing bin accuracy, FIFO principles, and disciplined stock handling, while actively performing cycle counts, stock verification, and variance investigations across warehouse locations, production areas, and subcontractors.

The role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with production, procurement, quality, and planning departments to drive timely resolution.

In addition, the role ensures that production lines are consistently supplied with the correct materials at the right time through accurate kitting and issuing based on production schedules, while validating all picks against approved documentation and maintaining strict control over stock movements and system transactions.

The role also supports dispatch operations by verifying finished goods, reconciling production outputs, preparing shipments, and ensuring accurate and timely loading, with full system and documentation control.

All inventory activities must be accurately recorded, supported by proper documentation, and executed using the latest Standard operating procedures and system controls.

Administration

  • Record keeping and filing of cycle counting documents
  • Document control on Pick Lists completed and booked
  • Ensure the Sub-Contractors and Factory Supervisors sign off all received components picked for production.
  • All physical documentation to match SAP documents

General

  • Provide operational support with daily inventory control activities and act as second-in-command to the Stores Inventory Controller
  • Will be under the supervison of the Stores Stock controller

Qualifications

  • Minimum: National Diploma in Supply Chain Related Qualification or /and appropriate qualification in advanced Stock Control

Professional Experience

  • Minimum: 1-3 years’ experience as an Inventory Controller
  • Preferred 1-3 years’ experience as an Inventory Controller in a high-volume manufacture environment preferably in the electronics industry.

Leadership Experience

  • Demonstrated teamwork, assertiveness and follow through
