We require a full time Display and Merchandise Coordinator who will be based at our upmarket showroom in Fourways, Johannesburg.

OVERVIEW OF JOB

The Display & Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the sales floor is impeccably presented, fully stocked, and aligned with brand standards. This role supports both the operational efficiency of the store and the delivery of an elevated customer experience through flawless merchandising, accurate stock handling, and meticulous attention to visual and stock storing practices.

MAIN DUTIES

Store Presentation & Visual Standards

  • Maintain exceptional store presentation in line with the company’s luxury aesthetic and VM guidelines.
  • Ensure all displays, shelving, fixtures, and product layouts are clean, organised, and visually appealing.
  • Assist with floor moves, seasonal updates, and the execution of visual merchandising directives.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate product visibility or improve customer flow on the shop floor.

Stock Management & Replenishment

  • Receive, unpack, assemble, and process incoming deliveries with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Replenish stock on the sales floor in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Ensure stockrooms are organised, labelled, and compliant with company standards.
  • Monitor stock levels on the floor and communicate shortages, slow sellers, and damages to management.
  • Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Ensure returns get processed according to company procedures and returned to DC if required.
  • Ensure stock handling processes are upheld by all in stores to minimise damages
  • Ensure Inter Branch Transfers are processed accurately and within 24 hours of written requests
  • Keep safe and store all fragile item packaging for reuse in-store while sending larger packaging items back the appropriate warehouse for safekeeping

Operational Excellence

  • Follow all operational procedures including inventory handling, tagging, and product care standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of stock areas, back-of-house spaces, and operational equipment.
  • Support store opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Ensure safety standards and company policies are consistently upheld.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with showroom consultants, VM teams, and management to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Communicate product availability, stock concerns, and VM needs to the relevant teams.
  • Support the wider team during peak periods, launches, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control processes.
  • Physically able to lift, move, and handle stock as required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Matric certificate
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience in luxury or premium retail preferred.
  • Experience in stock control, merchandising, or visual merchandising is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
